Pendoplast: German Factory 4

24 b&w stereoviews | 1930s Germany

This all-metal Pendoplast contains 3D photos of clothing factory workers in Germany during the 1930s, some of them using sewing machines such as Singer, Union Special, and Pfaff. The first photo on the film shows a truck for C. Steuernagel (based in Worms) filled with boxes. Our research has found WW2 military clothing with the brand “C. Steuernagel Worms” stamped on the inside so it’s likely this factory was one of their suppliers. One of the last photos on the film shows a finished product: a coat with a sewn-in Stewo-Mantel label (the German “mantel” translating to “coat” in English).
