Jul-Oct ‘24: What’s New in What’s Old

What do all of these new additions have in common? They’re all rare or at least hard to find. Sometimes, it only takes a particular design detail to make a stereoscope hard to find. We love those kinds of details! For instance, the Asian-themed art on what would otherwise be a common stereographoscope. And the transparent viewer for what would ordinarily be a fairly commonplace Keystone Home Training set.

The two transposing, prism Verascopes have been in our collection for a few years but are just now being featured on our website. Finding just one is difficult so we feel fortunate to have three in our collection.

Overall, this group spans a variety of time periods, materials, and formats. Enjoy!

By the way, if you like vintage anaglyphs, we also updated our Vintage Anaglyph post to include a 1930s anaglyph book from Mohawk Rubber Company and a 1950s Fontainebleau anaglyph booklet.

Stay tuned for our next collection update — we’ve got some unusual ones lined up!
