In later years, post-1980, View-Masters were often used in a promotional capacity. However, we haven’t seen many promotional sets from the 1950s so this one caught our attention. We were even more intrigued when we realized the set featured images of classic mid-century kitchens, bathrooms, and decor.
Pomona Tile was a Californian company founded in 1923 and manufactured ceramic floor and wall tiles until it was sold in 1966. The 16 reels feature color photography by Tri-Ads, Co of Hollywood, and have the Sawyer name and View-Master logo. Some reels have captioned photos and some photos appear on more than one reel.
