Vérascope - Homéos

France, 1910s

As a fan of 35mm format viewers like the Filmoscope, DeVry, Tru-Vue, True-View, & Colleen Moore viewers, the Homéos stereoscope had been on my wishlist for a while. I'm glad I waited for this one. I love the side film compartments and the handle that rotates the film. Dating to around 1914, it's an accessory to the Homéos stereo camera (which is said to be the world's first 35mm stereo camera) and was created by the French industrialist Jules Richard who helped spread stereo photography to the masses with the popular Vérascope line.
