Stereo-Cine / Stereocine Stereo Viewer
Italy, 1950s
We waited so long to find this beauty and grow our collection of Italian reel viewers. Ours was made by Soprôva S.a.r.l, as shown on the side of our box lid. After that, the viewer was made by S.I.S.E., the same company that made the Stereo-Cine reels.
Design-wise, the shape of the diffusers is very similar to the Italian Vis-ster. We also note Stereocine is spelled as one word on the viewer, and as two words on the box and reel sleeves.
We don’t yet have Stereo-Cine reels, but we have the two versions of the reel sleeves — the 2nd version showing a 10th subject series on the back.
