Star-D Stereo Viewer

United States, 1970s

The Star-D lighted viewer, powered by 2 D-batteries, is the aftermath of the Brumberger stereo viewer. The design and styling were kept almost identical to the Brumberger with the differences being that the Star-D is missing the tripod hole on the bottom, the “little man” logo on the light button, and, of course, the Brumberger name just under the light button. The Star-D was discontinued sometime in the late 1980s. An article by David Starkman in the April 1988 issue of Stereo World said that the “manufacturer claimed that sales volume did not justify the investment in production.”
