Clou Berliner Konzerthaus Stereoscope
Germany, 1920s
We love the gold embossing on this viewer, which advertises the Clou concert hall in Berlin. The building was originally a market and in 1920 was converted to a concert venue by architect Johannes Kraaz. With seating for 3,000 people, it became the largest entertainment venue in Berlin. Painter Albert Maennchen designed the Clou logo with the man riding a bear.
