Chocolat Poulain Stereo Viewer
France, 1900s
This small, folding tin stereoscope comes in a velvet-lined leather case along with a set of scenic stereoviews. The 3D viewer and the views advertise one of the oldest chocolate companies in France. Chocolat Poulain was founded in the late 1800s by Victor-Auguste Poulain. The company still exists today but has changed ownership a few times. The half-circle lenses sets this one apart from most other folding tin viewers made during this time period.
