Sawyer’s View-Master Model E

The color and country of manufacture will determine how easy or difficult a Model E View-Master is to find. The 2 hard-to-find, brightly colored ones — cherry red and bright blue — were only made in Belgium, along with the other uniquely colored Model E’s. The black Model E made in the United States is easy to find. Model E’s were also made in Australia, France, India, and Spain and the availability of those specific versions varies. While the Model E wasn’t a lighted viewer like the Model D, you could purchase a light attachment for it.

We’ve heard the black light attachment for the black Model E is particularly hard to find, so when we got the opportunity, we added this one to the collection. It came complete with its box and a couple of sealed View-Master packets. We think it’s quite pretty.
Deluxe Gift Pak: Brown Model E with Light Attachment
While easier to find than the black viewer-and-light attachment combo, it can still be challenging to find the brown combo without any chips or cracks on the attachment.
