OMZ Cmepeockon Stereo Viewer

Bulgaria, 1950s

OMZ, Optical-Mechanical Factory, was the first optical enterprise in Bulgaria, established in 1948. They created a number of stereoscope clones. This one is almost an exact copy of the German Belcaskop, right down to the script writing across the top of the viewer. Other stereo viewer clones are from OMZ factories in Russia and are copies of the French Colorelief and the French Stereoclic — see our Leningrad page for pictures and more info on those.
