Nettel Stereoscope
Germany, 1900s
This stereoscope is from Nettel Camerawerk in Sontheim am Neckar. What brought this early wood stereoscope to our attention was its unique use of the black leather bellows. This was a feature we hadn’t seen on a stereoscope but was standard on Nettel’s folding strut cameras. Based on the timeline of the company, we estimate the time of manufacture to be sometime between 1902 and 1910.
