Stéréo Le Touriste

I don't know much about this very early 1900s French postcard stereo viewer so I was super excited to recently locate a few of the stereo postcards that went with it. To operate: pop the top flap to insert the card, leave the top open for light, then pull the little ring on the front to expand the viewer for focus. I love the metal handle on one side (purpose?) and the dark green color which must have been even more beautiful in its pre-smudged, gold-embossed prime. Plus, who doesn't love a well-designed cardboard viewing device that came a century before Google Cardboard?
