Kolibri Taschen-Stereoskop
Germany, 1900s
This gold beauty is the 2nd fold-over tin stereoscope in our collection. We don’t know the manufacturer behind this design. The German text on the back provides instructions for use and translates to:
Open the stereoscope, put the picture in the groove on the inside of the back wall, and hold the stereoscope when looking through the lenses so that the light falls on the picture. Your eyes must be directly in front of the lenses.
The initials R. L. & C. are printed on the front of the viewer but we don’t know what it stands for.
