Keys Stereo Viewer
United States, 1940s
Produced by Keys Stereo Products in California in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s. The same company also produced the Haneel Tri-Vision camera and at some point changed the company name to Haneel, patented the viewer and marketed it under the Haneel name. So you’ll more often find this viewer stamped with the Haneel logo and patent number. Supposedly, both the Keys and the Haneel brands had a larger battery-operated viewer and a smaller, non-illuminating viewer. However, the larger Keys viewer pictured below is NOT battery-operated, even though it’s shaped almost exactly like the battery-operated Haneel version.
