Ihagee Stereflex Stereo Viewer
Germany, 1950s
The 1950's Ihagee Stereflex from Dresden, Germany. It's in my collection as a stereo viewer, made possible by the slip-on frame at the end (shown here) that holds mounted stereo transparencies in beamsplitter format. But its real magic was when attached onto the Ihagee Exacta cameras as a stereo viewfinder (see last pic). Quoting a '50s Ihagee advertisement: "Now for the first time in photographic history, you can preview your stereo pictures in 3 dimensions before you take them." I was attracted to this one because of the stylish curve of the eyepieces.
