De Vry Stereo Viewer

The De Vry stereo viewer out of Chicago was created by the movie projection company De Vry Corp which was founded by Herman De Vry. It competed with Chicago-based Tru-Vue by also selling films of the 1933 Century of Progress World's Fair. As for the tie to De Vry University, in 1931 the same Herman De Vry founded DeForest Training School (named after his friend), it was renamed De Vry Technical Institute in 1953, then renamed De Vry Institute of Technology in 1968, then came partnerships, stock, acquisitions and a De Vry Inc came to be, then a De Vry Education Group and somewhere in the mix De Vry University was born.
De Vry Advertising Film — Goodyear

In addition to the 6 films for the world’s fair, DeVry partnered with the Jam Handy Picture Service (also out of Chicago) to produce a 56-frame commercial film for Goodyear. Besides being an Olympic swimmer, Jam Handy headed his own company that was well-known for producing many training films for the military and auto companies.
