Conway ColourScope Stereoscope

England, 1950s

The '50s ColourScope is manufactured by Standard Cameras in England, makers of Conway box cameras and the Robin Hood stereo camera. We have four different styles in our collection: two using natural light and two battery-powered versions. Only one of the styles has the name “ColourScope” on it; the other three viewers only carry the name “Conway.” Photos of all four viewer styles are below, plus examples of boxed souvenir viewer sets for Edinburgh Castle and the t.s.s. Mediterranean and an advertising set for South London Brewery featuring Jenna Esselbee.
