Casanova Cigaretten Stereo Viewer
Germany, 1910s
A rare find from 1910s Germany: a small, metal stereo viewer with the famous Casanova Cigarette mascot embossed on it. The iconic cigarette-smoking, red-scarf-wearing pup was designed for the company by artist Ludwig Hohlwein and original items bearing the emblem are still sought after today. The text on the back of the small stereoview cards says:
"A rich series of the most splendid photographs of all the famous beauties on earth. An educational trip around the world in pictures. The associated stereo viewing device is available for 75 ₰ from the cig dealer or from us at CASANOVA Cigaretten-Fabrik DRESDEN-A. 28"
